Why Parquery?

Parquery integrates with your existing infrastructure

Parquery’s custom-designed AI algorithms integrate with your existing cameras, allowing you to monitor over 300 parking spaces in a single image. No additional equipment needed!

Our API

Flexibility

We offer not just a smart parking solution. Our software is currently being used for over half a dozen different applications, including in marinas, airport arrival and departure gates, train depots, bus depots, petrol (gas) stations, highway rest stops, grocery stores and warehouses.

Our smart solutions

GDPR Compliant

Headquartered in Zurich, Switzerland, Parquery is fully compliant with both the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FDAP). We go to extraordinary lengths to ensure that images contain no private data and are automatically deleted after processing.

Unless specifically requested by customers, no image data is stored. We strive to install cameras as high as possible, configure them to low resolution, automatically anonymize faces, license plates, and any adjacent areas to protect individual privacy.

Parquery or other parking sensors

Connected ground sensors used to be the number one option for smart parking solutions. But today there is a better, more efficient and effective alternative: camera-based smart parking solutions.

 ParquerySensorsAppsVideoScan

99% Accuracy

Our solution is not affected by sun glare, snow cover, intense heat, rain, occlusions, or even double-parked vehicles. The devil is in the detail - not all camera-based solutions are equal.

The power of Parquery's Artificial Intelligence (AI)

Tailored to the individual situation

Our solution learns the specifics and peculiarities of each parking lot and adapts itself to them. Noisy background, moving shadows, intricate layouts, varying vehicle types are not an issue.

Parquery tailors itself to your lot with learning algorithms

Works with any parking type

Get real-time occupancy data from large outdoor parking lots, curb-side parking to indoor parking garages

Any parking area

Detects vehicles, silhouettes, and any object

We’re not just good at detecting cars. Our software can spot any object and even silhouettes

Works with any internet protocol (IP) camera

No need to buy expensive specialized sensors from a single supplier - integrate your existing infrastructure or use any IP camera with Parquery

What camera will work?

Independent from a single supplier

With Parquery you have no risk of dependency on one single manufacturer of specialized hardware, with all its associated risks, but any camera can be used and replaced with another

What do I have to consider with regards to cameras?

Few hardware requirements

Depending on the parking lot, one single camera can monitor several hundred spaces and all it needs are power and connectivity, hence little hardware is required

Requirements in a nutshell

Easy to deploy

Be up and running within a few days with Parquery: use existing cameras or install new ones. Installation is as simple as mounting cameras for a typical surveillance system. Other solutions require you to install expensive specialized cameras or construction works to place sensors in each parking spot

Launch a pilot

Flexible and modular

Parquery can easily accommodate changes in the parking layout, extension of the parking lot, or reduction of parking spaces.

Allows for maintenance works

Cameras neither impair road cleaning with sweepers and clearing with snow plows in winter nor interfere with construction works, renewing the road surface by asphalting, or changing the layout of the parking area.

Protection from vandalism

Since the cameras are mounted high and out of reach, they are not only protected from vandalism, but on the contrary, can even act as a deterrent.

Low cost

Cameras are cheaper per parking space than other types of sensors regarding purchase, installation, and maintenance.

There is no one-size-fits-all approach for parking

There are different factors to consider when choosing the right technology for your project. A key factor is the type of parking spot you want to monitor.

Large outdoor parking lots are best monitored by camera-based systems.

Large offstreet parking lots
On-street parking areas are monitored by cameras or sensors.

How many parking spaces do you need to monitor?

Monitoring just a few parking spaces, or thousands? The number of spaces to monitor has major implications for the technology you choose.

You need one ground sensor per parking space versus one camera for as many as 300 parking spaces.

Make sure you consider the long-term costs of each solution.

Ground sensors vs cameras

  • Sensors need batteries, which are encapsulated in the product and cannot be replaced.
  • Although sensors are advertised with ifespan of 5-7 years, they usually last far shorter
  • Once the battery dies, you need to replace the sensor

The result? Over a 10-year period, ground sensors typically cost at least twice as much as initially forecasted.

Looking for sensors without batteries? Consider a camera-based solution.

Modern cameras have a lifespan of up to 25 years.

Ground sensors are costly to install and maintain, and prone to physical damage.
Compared to camera-based solutions, ground sensors are costly to install and maintain, and prone to physical damage.

Indoor per-spot sensors vs cameras

One camera replaces 12 - 20 individual indoor sensors
One camera can replace 12 - 20 individual indoor sensors
  • One sensor monitors 1-2 parking spots, whereas a camera can monitor up to 20 parking bays.
  • Apart from the purchase costs of the sensors, more physical sensors leads to more points of failure, more maintenance, more cable runs, power and connectivity requirements, and thus increased expenses.
  • Some camera-based systems can work with any kind of camera - you will not be dependent on a single supplier.

Are you looking for sensors that avoids long cable runs, complicated installation, and many points of failure, and further costs? Consider a camera-based solution.

Modern cameras have a lifespan of up to 25 years, and should they fail, they can easliy be replaced by another model.

How Parquery complies with privacy laws
Read on

Parquery only requires standard cameras to monitor a parking area

We decided to work with Parquery for several reasons:

  • Excellent quality / price ratio of the technology, much cheaper than sensors
  • Easy to implement (possibility to use existing cameras)
  • Ideal solution for parking control, also more efficient than sensors

D. Gnerre, City of Vevey

Can camera-based solutions and sensors work together?

Yes, both solutions can be combined.

Depending on the design of the parking area, one camera can cover up to 500 parking spaces outdoors, and only about 10 parking spaces indoors, on account of the ceiling height.

Some customers prefer to use sensors indoors and camera-based solutions outdoors. In this case, both solutions complement each other.

The different technologies used are transparent to the end-customer, and the facility manager views all results in a single dashboard.
